Shiraz
colour
Deep ruby of medium intensity
aroma
Typical cool climate Shiraz aroma of blackberry and spice complemented by classy vanilla oak.
palate
The 2008 Shantell Shiraz has uplifted dark cherry and blackberry fruit aromas with toasty oak and a touch of spice. The palate is well structured with lingering dark cherries, blackberry and spicy cedary oak backed by good acid and firm fine tannins. The finish long and satisfying.
The 2008 Shiraz shows the fruit intensity expected from a very low cropping vintage. This well balanced wine has the potential to reward those who can cellar it for 5 to 8 years.
